Australian Treasure: Australian War Memorial
Address: Treloar Crescent, Campbell, 2612, ACT

The Australian War Memorial chronicles the stories of many Australian's who fought and died for their country with the main building and grounds having been developed and preserved as a national tribute to these brave men and women.

The Memorial's galleries showcase one of the world's most extensive military collections, with recently restored Second World War Galleries depicting what it was like for these servicemen and women's loved ones on the home front.

The commemorative heart of the Memorial can be found in the Hall of Memory where visitors can pay tribute to the Tomb of the Unknown Australian Soldier.

Visitors who have known only statistical information about war will walk away with a far greater understanding of events thanks to the Memorial's National Collection and the importance of expressing our gratitude, through paying tribute and remembering the sacrifices that these people made and continue to make for our freedom.

Don't miss the emotional presentation of the Last Post performed daily at 5pm.
