Since the Royal Australian Mint received its first task of introducing new coins for the decimal currency on 14th February 1966 it has created more than thirteen billion circulating coins. Visitors are welcome to come and enjoy the modern tourist facilities where admission is free and tours are self guided.

Appreciate a birds-eye view of the factory floor as you watch Australian coins being made at the Royal Australian Mint where you can see one of the world's strongest robots in motion.

Watch the theatrette presentation as it describes the process of making coins and view the display of rare and historically exceptional coins on show from the National Coin Collection, along with exhibitions representing the history of Australian coins.
