Weston Creek

Weston Creek - Canberra Region - Canberra

Weston Creek lies to the south of Canberra and was named after a former officer of the East India Company, George Edward Weston, who arrived upon our shores in 1825. Described as 'one of the most picturesque parts of the National Capital' Weston Creek rests at the foot of Mount Taylor in the south-east and is this areas most prominent feature.

Waramanga, Fisher, Weston, Rivett, Duffy, Holder, Chapman and Stirling are the eight suburbs of Weston Creek which were all named after prominent Australian figures. The natural landscape is the perfect remedy for visitors to get back to nature with hills and ridges silhouetting the valley to the south and west.

To the north, the Stromlo Forest Park provides the ideal outlet for holiday makers looking to exert some energy. Stromlo Forest Park is a world-class multi-use sporting facility providing tracks for a leisurely ride with the family as well as tracks for the more serious peddle pusher and is home to the Australian 24 Hour Mountain Bike Championships.
