Set within a pine plantation, popular for horse riding and mountain biking, the Old Kowen Homestead Recreation Area is perfect for camping, picnics and barbeques and can also be booked exclusively for specific functions and large events.

Available for campers and day users.

Bookings are essential. An access code to the area is given when booking approved.
Can be booked for exclusive use for functions or large events.
Wood fire pit - but firewood is not provided, so please ensure you bring your own supply.

Getting There:

The Old Kowen Homestead Recreation Area is located in the Kowen Forest Pine Plantation off Sutton Road, north east of Canberra on the way to Queanbeyan.

Bookings:

Kowen Forest is a locked forest so bookings are essential, to obtain approval and access to the area.

No charge for children under 10 years of age.
