Tenterfield - New England - New South Wales

Historic Tenterfield has over 100 heritage listed buildings, with the majestic surroundings of the Great Diving Range, located at the northern end of the New England Highway, 18 kilometres from the Queensland border and 690 kilometres north of Sydney.

Tempt your taste buds at one of the surrounding vineyards with some gourmet delights and fine wines.

Visit Thunderbolts hideout, a bushranger in the area in the mid 1880's, climb the largest granite rock in Australia, Bald Rock, and don't forget to visit Tenterfield Saddlery owned by the grandfather of Peter Allen, famous entertainer who sang "Tenterfield saddler" about his grandfather.

Tenterfield is a gorgeous town, known for its glorious display of Autumn colours on the deciduous trees decorating the town.
