Mount Kosciuszko Snowy Mountains New South Wales

Mount Kosciuszko - Snowy Mountains - New South Wales

When visiting Mount Kosciuszko, a must do at the top of the list is an unforgettable trek up Australia's highest mountain. At 2,228 metres above sea level, it is also one of the oldest in the world and was named after a polish patriot and freedom fighter and a sense of freedom is certainly what you are rewarded with upon reaching the summit, along with a sense of achievement.

The easiest journey to get there is by climbing aboard the Kosciuszko Express chairlift from Thredbo Village followed by the Kosciuszko Walk on an elevated walkway made of steel mesh and is suitable for most ages and fitness levels. It takes about 45 minutes to reach the peak, where you can rest and salute the panoramic views.
