This campground is close to Yarrangobilly Caves on the Yarrangobilly River. It's an ideal place to camp if visiting the caves, exploring the local area or fishing. There are no designated camping sites.

Yarrangobilly River meanders through the campground before cutting its way through the Yarrangobilly limestone belt heading to the caves, Lobs Hole Ravine and the Talbingo Reservoir.

Activities: camping, walking, fishing, geological/geomorphological appreciation

Cultural heritage: Cotterill's Cottage is within the camping grounds. The building is one of the oldest in Kosciuszko National Park and has not changed since its construction in the 1890s. In the 1930s the village consisted of approximately ten houses and was once a part of the Jounama State Forest. Jounama Homestead ruin and heritage walk are within 10 km of the campground.

Getting there: The campground is adjacent to the Snowy Mountains Highway and Yarrangobilly River, 62 km south of Tumut. The Village is 7.5 km north of the Yarrangobilly Caves Entrance Road.

Facilities: Picnic tables, wood barbecues, non-flush toilets.
