Summer in the Snowy Mountains kicks in on 1 November with the opening of the walking, x-country biking and alpine rock climbing seasons and continues through Easter until late May. At lower altitudes summer activities remain on the calendar right through the winter, especially, rock climbing & abseiling on the sunbaked Jindabyne Crag or close by in Canberra.

Snow Mountains bushwalking is unique and varied from high country walks to the forested sub-alpine terrain with its abundance of wildlife, wildflowers and alpine huts. We can offer you a range of satisfying walks that inspire, uplift and exhilarate you. The walking season opens late October (you may need snow shoes in the alpine area) and extends right through to the end of May just before the first winter snows. Walking in the Australian alpine area is truly addictive with its cool temperatures and lofty altitudes with stunning views. K7 Adventures will take you to some very special places!

Truly spectacular sunsets over the western horizon and mountain skies reward photographers with unforgettable memories and images. Capture the sights, scenes and scents of fresh alpine air on your camera in the company of one of our experienced guides and photographers. Mike Edmondson and Gus McCoun will take you out of your comfort zone to access the most powerful landscapes in the most sensitive light.

For early risers, the K7 Sunrise Photography Tour will freshen your day with crisp morning temperatures and a ‘light treat’ that is unique to the Snowy Mountains. As the dawn breaks over the Monaro and Great Dividing Range be the first to see the subtle shades of pink, purple and blue, the shimmering colours of the alpine flora and the deep greens of the heathlands as the day opens before you. Be there for the best glimpses!

Experience freedom. K7 Adventures X-Country Mountain Bike Guides would love to show you their favourite trails on the comfort of your own bike & helmet or hire some top quality fully-serviced gear through us. X-Country biking takes you across the landscape through sometimes challenging terrain or simply to some lovely picnic spots for some light cruising for a relaxing time and is whilst more aerobic can be as much fun as hard-core downhill mountain biking.

Are you curious about rock climbing and abseiling? Have you climbed in a gym and would like to experience climbing on real rock! The thing about rock climbing is that you don’t have to very strong; you just have to think and work out the puzzle of holds in front of you and then you use your balance to use the holds to move upwards. Rock climbing is fun, satisfying and everyone can have a go! For a family and a group of friends it can be the highlight of your holiday. Of course outdoor climbing is for all ages - we take the very young and the not so very young. Our job is to ensure that you have lots of fun in a safe environment. We can take you on a half day, an ‘easy’ day (a bit more than a half day) or a full day climbing & abseiling. That’s about as good as it gets. We give private lessons and specialise in crack climbing & slab or friction climbing. K7 has enthusiastic, experienced guides ready to take you out there.

Canberra climbing / abseiling & caving guide Armando Corvini will take you and your friends, your corporate / school group on a very special excursion to the Wee Jasper caves just outside of Canberra.
