Wineglass Bay

Wineglass Bay East Coast Tasmania

Wineglass Bay - East Coast - Tasmania

Freycinet National Park plays host to one of the most famous attractions in Tasmania where holiday makers and locals make a deliberate pilgrimage to experience Wineglass Bay and the crisp sparkle of the sea. Wineglass Bay can only be accessed on foot or by boat and because of the effort it takes to reach the area, the environment remains in its natural idyllic condition, due to the lack of 'passers by'.

It is well worth the effort to take on the 2-3 hour return walk which takes explorers to the Wineglass Bay Lookout, providing sensational views, and then continuing down the track to the bay itself. Kick your boots off for a well earned wander along the pure white sandy beach after being lured along the trail or take to the seas aboard Freycinet Sea Cruises.

If you haven't purchased your Multi-Day Tasmanian National Parks Pass then you will need to pick up your National Park Pass beforehand. There are many different walks to choose from depending on how energetic you feel with the full day of 6 to 7 hours requiring a little more planning, to make sure you have all of your supplies with you.

Endowed with all of those faculties that can make the world a garden of enchantment visitors are offered an incredible range of experiences to take in the full splendour of this National Park.
