Murrayville The Murray Victoria

Murrayville - The Murray - Victoria

Murrayville is one of Victoria's biggest wilderness zones situated in the heart of Mallee country in north-west victoria. This small town is in close proximity to the extensive Murray-Sunset National Park to the north and the Big Desert Wilderness Park to the south with the South Australian border only 22 kilometres east. There are lovingly restored buildings to be explored including the railway station and the old courthouse.

Exploring the many wonders of the Mallee will provide visitors with an amazing display of unique wildflowers, fascinating wildlife, stunning sunsets and interesting history. Encounter the Murray Lily, Victoria's largest flower, in the Murray-Sunset National Park and make the time to sit and watch the sunset at the Pink Lakes as the fading light gives the saltwater lakes a remarkable hue. The Desert Wilderness Park can only be reached on foot making it a relatively unspoilt environment for many reptile species and plants to thrive in the dry landscape.

Escape city and suburban stress and head to Mallee country for some much needed rest and relaxation, get back to nature and breathe the fresh air in Murrayville.
