Cape Le Grande Esperance - WA Landmarks

Landmark: Cape Le Grande
Address: Lucky Bay Road, Cape Le Grand, 6450, WA

Seeing really is believing when it comes to the most picturesque bays and beaches in Australia at Cape Le Grand National Park. An easy drive of approximately 50 kilometres from the coastal town of Esperance lie some of the most pristine coastline you will have the good fortune to experience. With a landscape of huge, rugged outcrops tumbling onto beaches of the purest white sand and crystal, clear turquoise water makes it difficult to believe that a place like this really exists.

Enjoy camping at its best within two campgrounds at Lucky Bay and Cape Le Grand Beach where peace and tranquility is all part of the plan. Both campgrounds have toilets, and solar hot water showers with drinking water. Sit back and watch the local wildlife including the friendly Western Grey Kangaroos that sun themselves on the beach, Pygmy Possums and Bandicoots. To ensure a spectacular display of blooming wildflowers, visit the park between September and November.

Rock climbers can seek out a great challenge at Frenchman Peak standing at two hundred and eighty six metres. For some fantastic walk trails the Le Grand Heritage Trail starts from Thistle Cove car park and is a one kilometre circuit, the Coastal trail is 15 kilometres one way but can be split into four smaller walks and Frenchman Peak is three kilometres return and should not attempted in the event of inclement weather.
